This page explains what information is collected when you use the LandedUK website (landeduk.co.uk) and the LandedUK app, and what your choices are.
Who we are
LandedUK is an independent guide for people moving to England. It is not a government service. If you have a question about your privacy, email us at hello@landeduk.co.uk.
This website
This website is hosted on WordPress.com, which is run by Automattic. When you visit, WordPress.com may collect standard information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, to keep the site secure and to give us visitor statistics. WordPress.com may also set cookies. You can read more in Automattic’s privacy policy and cookie policy.
We do not sell your information, and we do not ask you to create an account to read this website. If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
The app
- No account. You don’t sign up or log in.
- Your data stays on your device. Your checklist, saved guides, trip dates and postcode are stored in your browser on your own phone or computer. They are not sent to us.
- Clearing it. You can remove this information at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
- Searches that open other websites. When you use a postcode, flight or video search, the app opens another website (such as Google Maps, Skyscanner or YouTube) with your search in the link. That website’s own privacy policy then applies.
- Fonts. The app loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google receives a standard request from your browser.
- Hosting. The app is currently hosted on claude.ai, which is run by Anthropic. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to that hosting.
Links to other websites
The website and the app link to official and trusted sources such as GOV.UK, the NHS, Ofgem and Citizens Advice, and to companies such as banks, airlines and energy suppliers. We are not responsible for how those websites use your information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR), you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Email us at hello@landeduk.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
